Zefi Alan

Zefi Alan was born in 1969. She studied fashion design at Istanbul Maçka Istasyon Art House. In 1988 she began painting at Art 1881 Workshop. In 1989 she went to Vienna to study painting and art history at Vienna Angewandte Kunst Academy. She also worked sculpture at the wuk alternative art workshop in Vienna. In 1992 Alan went to Italy and studied art therapy. She participated in various activities and exhibitions of the Ruleless Group. In 2002 she returned to Turkey and worked at her own workshop in Kemer, where she taught art therapy and art. Since 2006 Alan has created textile arts in Ayvalık. She has held several exhibitions in Turkey. Alan currently continues her work in Ayvalık.
