Leyla Bozkurt

Leyla Bozkurt was born in Kaptanpaşa village belongs to the district of Çayeli in Rize in 1963. She graduated from the Textile Department in the Faculty of Technique Education at Marmara University. After working in a private sector for 5 years, she started teaching at the Bursa Necatibey Vocational High School in 1998. As of today, Bozkurt serves as a vice director in the Denizli Kale Vocational Education Center. She makes marbling works (Ebru) on textile, and embroiders them. In addition to it, she researches traditional Anatolian women’s accessories, and remodels and produces modern jewelry.
