Nefise Gündem Öğdemli

Nefise Gündem Öğdemli was born in Ankara in 1940. After graduating from Middle East Technical University, she worked as an architect at several companies. She moved to Bodrum in the 1970’s and founded the Atölye (studio) Örümcek in 1984. Öğdemli has made silver jewelries with her own designs and had many exhibitions in Turkey. Futhermore, under the principle of "design - creative - artifice", she has trained many craftsmen within the Atölye Örümcek, and contributed to the continuity of jewelry designs. Currently Öğdemli continues to work at her studio in Marmaris, Selimiye.
