İsmet Turhal

İsmet Turhal was born in Develi in 1942. He finished Ankara İstiklal primary school and Yapı Vocational High School, and graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Yıldız Technical University. He retired from Turizm Bank in 1987. Turhal has sculptured Turkish proverbs, phrases and Seljuk and Ottoman motifs on wood for 10 years. He also engraves his original motifs and makes decorative objects. In the past two years (during June and October), Turhal exhibits his works on the Artist Street under the auspices of Bodrum Municipality.
