Işın Çaçur was born in Ankara in 1976. She finished primary, middle and high school at TED Ankara College. After graduating from the Department of City and Country Planning at Istanbul Technical University in 1997, she began working as a city and country planner at public sector. In 1999, she completed her master’s degree at the Department of Landscape Architecture in the Institute of Social Science of her alma mater. Between 2002 and 2003, she studied about visual communication and design at Pera Fine Arts School. She attended the courses of the work of jeweler which was held by Türk Kültürüne Hizmet Vakfı and continued to take a private class to learn more. She changed her career and became an assistant art director. Then she founded her own workshop and started to design and produce unique and particular silver jewelries. She participated in the 4th Design Competition of Cultural Gifts Goods which was held by Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Çaçur prefers to use natural horn in her design and combines it with silver using different techniques. At the same time she uses different kind of materials such as semiprecious stone, spangle, beads, and feather. She also applies cold glaze to silver.
