Gaye Döşer was born in Istanbul in 1970. She studied mineralogy science and graduated from the Chemistry Department at Yıldız Technical University.  She began to have an interest in jewelry art in 1994. In 2000, to prepare for a career in the jewelry business, she learned techniques from the CDs of “Hobby World”, which were available to the readers of Hürriyet newspaper.

Döşer worked as an editor in many magazines. She has served as an editor in the magazine “Takı Sanarları, Boncuklama ve Gümüş Takı Tasarımı” for 8 years, and taught bead making for two years. In 2002, she started working in the glass sector and learned how to make glass from Janhein Van Stiphuot, Michaela M. Möller and the metal smith, Mary Chuduk at the Cam Ocağı. Döşer also participated in many glass workshops in Turkey and abroad to develop her skill. She wrote “Takı Yıllığı”, which was published in 2005. She had her solo exhibition “Garden of Eden” in Istanbul in 2008.
