Aslı Apaydın

Aslı Apaydın was born in Giresun in 1979. In 1997, she started working as an assistant of Nelli Gavriyeloğlu and made accessories. In 2001, she made accessories with Natalia Marquart for three months in Italy. In 2002, Apaydın founded her workshop. She has participated in many exhibitions including ‘Kunst Dialogue’ in Berlin, ‘Rememberlevitation’ at Roxy Art Days in Istanbul, Tunel Art Festival, Galata Perform Visibility Project Open Workshop, ‘çalışmalar’1-2-3 at Nelli, ‘Love Hurts’ in Berlin and ‘Lexical’ at Ayse Accessories Gallery in Istanbul. Apaydın usually uses materials such as silver, epoxy, brass, stone and computer chips. She currently continues her work and teaches how to make accessories at her workshop in Cihangir, Istanbul.
