A noonday group studying a picture of the Kaaba at Mecca and various more or less choice bits of Moslem calligraphy, soon to be a thing of the past. Typewriters for typing old Turkish had as their principal feature a backspacer, which was used more than the ordinary spacer, as it required more backspacing to add the diacritical marks in the middle of words than it did spacing to separate the words themselves.
