Turkey. Late 19th century

Cotton velvet with silver embroidery. 52½" across shoulders; 27"long. 20"across underarms (40"chest measurement). The very heavy, bold embroidery on this jacket creates a strong graphic effect. The garment is is good condition and could either be worn (with care) or displayed.
