Bast fiber and metallic brocading, with metallic fringe edging. At a glance, this appears to be tapestry; it is all brocaded, however. This very unusual weaving has several tiny holes-- primarily in the borders. It has a sturdy lining, however, and so is stable. It is a rare piece that is difficult to date exactly.
