Halime Subaşı was born in Istanbul in 1961. She finished Istanbul İmam Hatip High school in 1982. She learned illumination art from several teachers: Ayten Tiryaki at the Birlik foundation (1989), Serap Bostancı at the Hekimoğlu Ali Paşa Library (1998-2004), Semih İrteş and Arzu Uzunosman (2004-2006) and Arzu Uzunosman at Süleymaniye Library. She also took a class of cut papers art (Kaa’t) from Dürdane Ünver and Müjgan Başköylü between 2006 and 2007. She participated in group exhibitions at the Cemal Reşit Rey Hall (2003) and Dolmabahçe Palace (2007).
